bee tower - australian native bees

The bee tower is designed as a piece of garden furniture.  It is made from recycled hardwood pallets, other recycled timbers (as I can source them) and regional "green" timber.   The timber sections will often show a natural cupping and contain splits and holes etc from its previous life.   This gives the box it's own individual character.  Every box is different!

The tower comes with a concrete base paver with screw fixed steel pins to ensure it does not blow over.  It sits on rubber spacers to ensure the timber does not rot.
It has an easily removable "magazine" of various size holes and materials to suit a range of bee types.  The magazine can be replaced with any material and hole size to suit the regional bees.  Part of the joy of a bee box is observing what bees (and other insects) are attracted and what they prefer to nest in!  The box is meant to be gradually modified to suit it's locality.

Please refer to the information sheet for positioning,  fixing requirements and maintenance.
