“Seaweed fruits 2” are abstractions of three types of local seaweed found on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. Their purpose is to draw attention to some of the beautiful, but tiny forms nature has to offer. To me, when you closely look at them, they are objects of beauty, especially when moving in their watery currents.
I’m exploring the expression of these natural forms in a more man-made, ordered and architectural way. This is evolving into a “kit of parts”, where, every part of the form is pulled apart, abstracted and put back together in a more ordered “man-made” composition.
In essence, it is an observation of a natural form, its elements, its “bits and pieces”. Then, composing those elements to express them individually to form an abstracted “whole”.

These pieces are "one-offs" and not reproduced. They are pick-up only, as they are too fragile to ship.
